SanDisk Data Recovery in Pune
SanDisk pen drives and memory cards are everywhere — Cruzer Blade and Ultra pen drives in offices and colleges, microSD cards in phones, dashcams and drones, and Extreme cards in cameras. SanDisk also makes popular portable SSDs. When a SanDisk device stops working, our lab at Kalewadi Phata can usually recover the data. Diagnosis is free, the exact price comes before any work, and if no data is recovered you pay nothing.
SanDisk products we recover

- Portable SSDs: SanDisk Extreme and Extreme PRO portable SSDs.
Common SanDisk problems
| Symptom | What it usually means |
|---|---|
| "Please insert a disk", 0 bytes, wrong size | Controller or firmware failure — data is still in the memory chip |
| Asks to format, RAW, files missing | File system damage, often after unplugging without Eject |
| Write-protected / read-only card or pen drive | The flash has worn out and the controller locked it |
| Broken or bent connector | Physical damage to connector or board |
| Camera says "card error", photos show grey blocks | Corrupted card or bad memory blocks — see memory card recovery |
| Extreme portable SSD suddenly unreadable or files corrupted | Some SanDisk Extreme portable SSD models had widely reported data-loss problems in 2023 that needed a firmware update — recover data before updating |
Why many SanDisk pen drives and cards need chip-level work
Most modern SanDisk pen drives and microSD cards are "monolithic": the controller and memory are sealed together in one tiny package with no separate chips to remove. When the controller fails, the data has to be read through microscopic test points on the package and then rebuilt by reversing the controller's scrambling. This is delicate microscope work done with professional lab equipment, and it is why software cannot help with a SanDisk drive that shows 0 bytes or is not detected. More in pen drive data recovery.
What not to do
- Do not format the card or pen drive when asked.
- Do not keep using a card that showed an error — new photos overwrite old ones.
- Do not use "repair" or low-level format tools.

Frequently asked questions
My SanDisk pen drive shows 0 bytes. Can data be recovered?
Often yes. 0 bytes usually means the controller has failed while the data remains in the memory. It needs chip-level recovery in a lab.
My SanDisk memory card asks to format. What should I do?
Do not format it. The file system is damaged but the photos and videos are usually still there and can be recovered.
Can a broken SanDisk pen drive be recovered?
Yes, in most cases, if the memory part is not cracked. The connector or board can be repaired, or the data read at chip level.
Do you recover SanDisk Extreme portable SSDs?
Yes. Do not update the firmware or reformat it before the data is recovered.
How much does SanDisk data recovery cost?
It depends on the device and fault. Diagnosis is free, the exact price comes before any work, and you pay nothing if no data is recovered.
