RAID 5 Data Recovery Process Explained
RAID 5 is the most popular configuration for business servers in Pune, but it has a massive weakness: it can only handle ONE drive failure. When the second drive fails, the whole volume goes offline.
1. The Parity Logic
In RAID 5, data is striped across drives with 'parity' information. To recover, we must identify the exact 'Stripe Size' and 'Rotation' used by your controller (Dell, HP, or LSI).
