Can Data Be Recovered from a Dead Hard Drive?
A 'dead' drive usually means an electronic failure on the PCB (Printed Circuit Board) or a seized motor. Unlike logical issues, these require hardware surgery.
1. PCB Replacement and Firmware Transfer
You can't just swap a PCB from a matching drive. Modern drives have unique 'Adaptives' or firmware stored in the ROM chip on the PCB. We must transplant this chip to a donor board to make the drive spin again.
